Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon TBR!

Dewy's 24 Hour Readathon (1).png

Hey guys! I wanted to let you all know that I’m participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-A-Thon this year!  This is my first time participating, so I’m pretty excited. 😀  To get all the details for this readathon, check it out here!  What I love about this particular readathon is that everyone starts and stops at the exact same time. The readathon starts in my timezone at 8 AM, on Saturday, April 29th, and ends 24 hours later.  To find out what time the readathon starts where you live click here!  Honestly, I know I’m not going to be able to read the entire day, but I’m going to try and read as much as I possibly can.

Without further ado, let me share my TBR with y’all!

Cover not final

First of all, I plan on reading the short story, I Still Remember by Priya Prithviraj.  It’s quite short, and so I think this book will be perfect to read for kicking off this read-a-thon!

Ji-woo dreams of becoming a writer and is back in college giving it a second shot. But then Weon-gyu, her first love, comes back into her new life. Will she give up on her dreams or will she write them a happy ending?

There’s nothing quite like a cheesy, 80’s Nancy Drew book.  They’re so much fun and so quick to read.  Heart of Danger is only around 150 pages, so I think I should be able to finish this one fairly fast as well.  Also, just look at that cover.  The longer you look the better it becomes. 😂

Nancy investigates the kidnapping of Caterina Reigert by posing as the writer of the girl’s father’s autobiography.

9466118.jpgThe last book on my TBR is The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott.  I received this book for review a couple months ago, and I still haven’t read it. 🙊  So, this is a book that needs to be read ASAP!  I admit, I doubt that I will finish this entire book as well, but I hope to get at least a good chunk of it read.

Deftly mixing fact and fiction, Kelly O’Connor McNees returns to the summer of 1855, when vivacious Louisa May Alcott is twenty-two and bursting to free herself from family and societal constraints and do what she loves most. Stuck in small-town New Hampshire, she meets Joseph Singer, and as she opens her heart, Louisa finds herself torn between a love that takes her by surprise and her dream of independence as a writer in Boston. The choice she must make comes with a steep price that she will pay for the rest of her life.

    • Haha it is pretty crazy! 😜 I know I won’t be able to read the whole day either, but I’m just going to try to fill all my spare time reading instead of just playing on my phone or watching TV, so we shall see how it goes!

Thanks for letting me know about the book blogger awards, as well! 🤗

      • That’s a good idea, I waste soooooo much time on my phone in a day 🙂
And you’re welcome about the book blogger awards, I hope you can participate!!

  1. This sounds fun! I think 24 hours readathons are pretty exciting, but I’m not sure I’d be able to find time to read. Or not sleep in order to read … well, maybe I could. It starts at 1 PM on Saturday where I live. I have a couple of things I have to get done, but *maybe* I could still participate. What are those challenges they’re talking about on the page? 🙂

    • I’m definitely not sacrificing my sleep for this readathon! 😂 I need my sleep, otherwise everyone I’m around suffers. 🙈😜 You should definitely just participate when you can! They posted a really great post about that today, actually, about how it’s okay if you’re busy and can’t participate the full 24 hours. Just do what you can. ☺️

Like I said, this is my first time participating, so I’m not sure what the challenges will be like exactly, but they’ll be posted on the Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon blog the day of the event. 👍🏼

      • Yeah, I know what you mean haha I don’t usually stay awake all night, otherwise I can stay in a bad mood all day. But sometimes I have bursts of energy, and I don’t feel like sleeping, so I read. Doing that during the readathon would be useful 😛
I’ll have to check it out, then. Thanks! And good luck 🙂
