Books I’d Like to Spring Clean off My TBR!

It’s Top Ten Tuesday!  TTT a weekly bookish list hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s topic is:

Ten Books I’d Like To Spring Clean Off My TBR!

One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus

First up, I’ve had One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus on my physical TBR for quite some time. I’d really like to finally get to it this spring and “spring clean” it right off my TBR pile!

Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak

Another book I’ve had on my physical shelves for quite some time is Bridge of Clay by Markus Zusak. The Book Thief is one of my all-time favorite books, and I have a feeling I will love this one as well, so I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to read this one. But I will read it…soon!

Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout

A book that I’ve had on my Nook for literal years is Don’t Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I accidentally purchased this ebook on my old, glitchy Nook and I just never read it.😂 Recently, while looking through my ebooks, I rediscovered this one and it sounds really intriguing!

Romanov by Nadine Brandes

Romanov by Nadine Brandes is another ebook I’ve had sitting on my Nook for a while. This book sounds so magical and intriguing. I need to stop putting this one off and read it already!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

I feel like The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is such an iconic YA book, and somehow, I’ve never read it! I bought a copy long ago at a library book sale but never picked it up. I really think I would like to now, though.

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

Next up on my list is The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. This book is another case of “I bought it on my Nook and then I forgot about it.” 😂 This one was bought on purpose though – I don’t know if that makes it better or worse, lol. I really love Alexandra Bracken’s writing, and I have no doubt I’ll love this book, too. I just need to actually read it.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab

I bought The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by VE Schwab the week it came out and I still haven’t read it yet. What am I waiting for?! 😂 I definitely need to “spring clean” this one off my TBR…and fast!

The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer

All through my teen years I was a Twihard (I still am, lolol), so you know I had to support my girl and buy Stephenie Meyer’s forgotten book, The Chemist, too. I’ll be honest, it’s been so long since I last bought this book or heard anyone even talk about it that I forget what it’s about. But, I’m very intrigued to see what I think of it!

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

Up next on books I want to “spring clean” off my TBR is The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon. I’ve heard so many amazing things about this series. This one is actually on my March TBR so hopefully I will get to it within the next week or so. 🤞🏼

Dune by Frank Herbert

Last on this week’s list is Dune by Frank Herbert. I was supposed to read this book back in 10th or 11th grade, but I never did, lol. Well, now with the new movie coming out with faves, Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet, I actually really want to read this one. So, I found my old copy and plan to read this big book soon-ish.

And there you have it! Thanks so much for reading this week’s TTT!

    • Ooh thanks for sharing! I’m glad to hear at least Addie LaRue and Romanov lived up to their hype! Is the rest of The Bone Season better? Or is the whole series just okay, in your opinion?

      • No problem! I do think that series improves with the later books, I much preferred The Mime Order and The Song Rising to the first one, and what I’ve read of The Mask Falling has been better too. I think The Bone Season had a lot to do worldbuilding wise and Shannon has improved significantly since she was a debut author.

  1. Lately, I’ve been feeling overwhelmed with the number of books on my TBR, but I just keep ignoring it. I should probably organize a priorities list or something … I hope you enjoy all of these books!! Addie LaRue was really great 😄

    • I know! It gets so overwhelming with everyone talking about new releases and then you’re still thinking of older releases and then there’s rereads – it makes the list never end haha! I’m excited to hear you loved Addie LaRue. I’m really excited to read that one!!
