Lemonade Stand Book Tag

Lemonade Stand Book Tag!.png

Hey everyone! Today I’m back with another post for Bookending Summer!  Today I’m going to be doing the Lemonade Stand Book Tag, which was created by Jeimy @ A Novel Idea.  I love lemonade – especially in the summertime, so when I saw this tag I just knew I was going to participate.

So, here we go!

Sour

Name a Character that left a sour taste in your mouth.

The first character that comes to mind when I think of one that left a sour taste in my mouth is Holder from Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.  I just did not care for him.  His behavior was manipulative and abusive, especially in the first half of the book, and there was never really any true remorse or disapproval for his behavior.  It was written off that he was just “passionate,” and that just really left a sour taste in my mouth.

Semi

Name a scene that was bitter-sweet.

The ending of Chasing Jupiter by Rachel Coker was so bittersweet!  I don’t want to spoil anything, but oh, my heart!  The ending will definitely give you all the feels and definitely make you feel bittersweet.

Sweet

Name a book ending that was too sweet for words.

the rest of the story

The Rest of the Story by Sarah Dessen is one of the most recent books I read where the ending was just so sweet and perfect! I absolutely adored this story.  It was so sweet and everything you could ever want in a summer, contemporary novel.

Slushie

Name a book that was completely refreshing

where the crawdads sing

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens is one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time!  This book was so incredibly well-written and overall just such a compelling and refreshing read.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my answers for this fun, little tag.  I had so much fun!  Thanks again to Jeimy for creating it!

Thanks for reading!

    • I’m glad I’m not the only one who couldn’t handle Holder. Honestly, I almost DNF’d the book too. If it weren’t for a certain plot twist that happened around the halfway point that left me curious I would have, because I did not care for him at all. Thanks again for the tag!!
