Top Ten Books I Want to Read in 2020!
It’s Top Ten Tuesday (Actually it’s Wednesday, but you guys get the point, lol)! It’s a weekly bookish list hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s topic is:
Top Ten Books I Want to Read in 2020
I’ve decided to change up this week’s topic just a bit. One of my reading goals for 2020, is to work on getting my physical TBR down to a more reasonable number. So, instead of focusing on upcoming releases, I’m choosing books that are already on my bookshelf that I’ve been meaning to read and still haven’t.
Let’s get started!
Y’all, I love Alice in Wonderland, and I’ve owned this book for almost a year, so I don’t know why I haven’t read Heartless yet!
I am so ashamed to have A Map of Days on this list! The Miss Peregrine series is one of my all-time favorites, and I honestly thought this would be the very first book I would read in 2019, and yet, a year later and I STILL haven’t read it. This book is getting read this year for sure.
I loved Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon, and I’ve been meaning to read The Sun is Also a Star ever since. I’m so eager to read it this year!
Oh my goodness, I’m so embarrassed The Sweet Far Thing is still on this list. You guys!! I’ve been talking about this book being on my TBR since I first started this blog. Somebody please yell at me to read this book already, lol!
I loved the movie adaptation of The Help when I watched it several years ago. I’ve been meaning to read the book ever since.
I love John Green’s writing and I was so excited when Turtles All the Way Down was released. I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to read it.
I have heard so many good things about Fangirl! I love Rainbow Rowell’s writing, and I have no doubt that I am going to love this book as well.
L. M. Montgomery is one of my all-time favorite authors. So, naturally, I want to read all her books. I’ve heard so many good things about The Blue Castle, in particular, that I am so eager to read it this year.
I started reading The Count of Monte Cristo back in 2018. I really enjoyed what I read, but then life and other books got in the way and I put it aside. 2020 is the year I finally want to finish it!
I have had Girl Sleuth: Nancy Drew and the Women Who Created Her on my physical TBR since I was in high school! I want/need to read this book ASAP!
Those are some of my anticipated reads of 2020 – which books are yours?
Thanks for reading!
I loved The Sun is Also a Star and The Help. Good reads there.

Turtles All the Way Down 😭 😭 I highly recommend it! I haven’t thought a lot about books on my TBR I want to read this year but I know FOR SURE I want to reread + finish the Raven Boys series as well as read Call Down the Hawk. I’ve read the Raven Boys 3 or 4 times!! But still haven’t finished the series.
