Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud

It’s Top Ten Tuesday! TTT a weekly bookish list hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl! This week’s topic is:
Ten Books That Made Me Laugh Out Loud!

Sketchy Behavior by Erynn Mangum
First up, we have Sketchy Behavior by Erynn Mangum. This book was such a fun one! While there were really intense parts, too, I loved the main character, Kate, and all her snark!

Save the Date by Morgan Matson
Next up is Save the Date by Morgan Matson. This is such a good book! It’s filled with relatable family dynamics, romance, as well as lots of hijinks!

When Lighting Strikes by Meg Cabot
Another book that had me laughing out loud in parts is When Lighting Strikes by Meg Cabot. The entire 1-800-Where-R-You series is incredible. It has such a great storyline and is filled with that signature Meg Cabot snark and humor!

10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston
A book that took me by surprise with how much I enjoyed it was 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston. This book was so cute!! So many of Sophie’s dates left her in some pretty hilarious situations.

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde
For the longest time, I just didn’t think classics could be “funny.” I don’t know why, preconceived notions from what I read in high school, maybe? However, after picking up The Importance of Being Earnest on a whim, I realized that that was just not true! This book was so fun and cheeky and it made me an Oscar Wilde fan. I absolutely adored it!

The Summer of Cotton Candy by Debbie Vigue
An underrated book that I found hilarious was The Summer of Cotton Candy by Debbie Vigue. This book is the perfect summertime read! It is so sweet, so loveable, and oh, so funny! I cannot recommend this book, or the entire Sweet Seasons series enough.

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot
I feel like I would be remiss not to include The Princess Diaries on this list. This is probably Meg Cabot’s most well-known series, and that’s for a very good reason – it’s so fun and Mia is so sassy. This book is truly a YA classic!

Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery
Another book that had me laughing out loud is Anne of Green Gables by LM Montgomery. While I certainly wouldn’t consider Anne of Green Gables to be a comedy, it is still filled with so many funny moments. Anne is such a fiery character and there are specific scenes where I truly laugh out loud every time I read them!

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
Next up is In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren. This book was so much fun! It was funny, romantic, and festive. I adored this book so much – I’m already planning on reading it this upcoming holiday season!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Last on this week’s list is To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. The entire series is so fun! I love Lara Jean and all the characters oh, so very much!
That’s it for this week’s TTT! It has been so long since I last did one of these – it felt good to do it again! Thank you so much for reading!
Be sure to leave a comment and tell me about a book that made you laugh out loud!

I really need to try Cabot’s books sometime!

Earnest is on my TTT list too! I can never forget the way I laughed the first time I read it, though I wonder if it will withstand another read? And while I cherish Green Gables series, I’d forgotten the “Humor” quotient, thanks for reminding us of it. Anne with an E and all her scrapes were so much fun. Happy TTT
