What I Thought
A Walk to Remember is a book I’ve been meaning to read for quite a while now. I really love the movie, and I had heard that it was very different from the book, so it’s one that I’ve always been curious about. I’m so glad I finally got a chance to read this book!
One of the things I really loved about A Walk to Remember, was the setting. I loved the quaint, small town, 1950’s vibe. I think it really gave the story a sweet and comfortable feeling, if that makes sense. I also loved the narration. I thought the pacing of the story was great. It truly felt like Landon was sitting there, and sharing his story with me.
Honestly, this book was a little overly sappy, but, I think that’s why I loved it! Jamie and Landon’s relationship was such a slow-burn and so innocent, and I just inhaled it like it was candy. It was so good!!
Overall, this was such an enjoyable book! It’s a tearjerker, but in the best way. I loved the characters, the romance, and the sappy-ness. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of romance.

The movie is so good!! Haha that’s ok! I honestly feel like the movie is more popular than the book. You really should pick it up! It is different from the movie, but just as good! 😍

This has been the only Nicholas Sparks book that I’ve ever read. Whereas the movie makes me cry from the beginning just because I know what happens in the end, with the book I didn’t tear up until the end when he hints or says he never got married again. I haven’t read it in a long while, but that’s what I remember most.

I was the same way! The movie makes me cry SO much, but I really only got teary eyed at the very end of the book.
