I’m Participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon!
Hello! I know I said I was going to get back into blogging, and then I’ve been silent since, but this time, I mean it! I’m back! 😅
Anyway, the title for this post pretty much gives it away: I’m participating in Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-a-thon tomorrow! I haven’t participated in the past few Dewey readathons and I’ve really missed it. So, I know it’s last minute, but I’ve decided to just jump in and participate!
In case you don’t know what Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon is, basically, starting October 26th at 8 AM EST, you read as much as you can in the next 24 hours. There’s a lot of fun, hourly challenges going on as well, but usually, I just stick to the reading. You can get all the readathon details by clicking here!
Now, I admit, I have a pretty ambitious TBR for someone who is going to be busy in the afternoon/evening hours. That being said, these books are short, and I am feeling confident. 📖💪🏼 So, here we go:
First, I want to read Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks! I’ve heard this graphic novel is super cute and festive. I’ve had this book on hold at my library for all of October and it finally came in for me, so I’m super excited to read this one!
Sheets by Brenna Thummler is another graphic novel that I think will be perfect for this readathon. It sounds like it’ll be a fun and quirky, yet emotional read!
I started reading City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab today, and so far, I’ve really loved it. I would love to be able to get a huge chunk of this book read tomorrow, and maybe even finish it!
And lastly, I’m also currently reading Party Games by RL Stine. I’m not super far into this book yet, but his books read pretty fast and they’re perfect for so close to Halloween. Ideally, I’d love to finish this one tomorrow, too. Like I said, though, I’m busy in the evening, so we’ll see how much I’ll be able to get read!
And there you have it! That’s my tentative TBR for tomorrow’s Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon! 🎉
Let me know if you’re planning on participating! Also, how has your October been going?!
Thanks for reading!
I’ve been really struggling with school work and time management lately, so I don’t think a 24 hour readathon would be very good for me at the moment. But I hope you have fun! Good luck 😀
