This was such an intense and gripping mystery! The premise of Echoes of Darkness is just so intriguing and the actual book itself is even more so than that. Once I started reading this one, I found myself unable to put it down.

The main character, Oaklynn, has been through A LOT. Her father was a serial killer. Now, while working on a case, someone else is killing people in the same way her father did. Her coworker, Caleb, also has personal ties to the case through the cult that they also believe to be involved. Spooky mystery aside, I really loved the dynamic of these two characters. They were so well written. They both had quite the backstory and so the two of them learning about each other and falling for each other was just so good.

This book was so intense, but in the best way! I’ll be honest, towards the end, I really found myself getting spooked with just how creepy this case was. I could not even guess how things were going to end.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable and engaging read. If you love a good mystery with a sprinkle of romance, you need to read Echoes of Darkness!
