May Wrap-Up!
May was not my best reading month. I don’t know why, but 2016, in general, has not been my reading year. Hopefully now that summer is going to go into full-swing I’ll actually be able to read more!

First, I finished, Matilda by Roald Dahl, which was April’s Classic of the Month. After that I only completed 2 books!

CLASSIC READ
I actually didn’t read any classics this month. My goal is to read 2 in June, though!
BOOK HAUL
I got way too many more books than I planned to! I intended to buy only one book in June. Instead, I got a grand total of sixteen books…and the one book I wanted to buy, I didn’t even get!
Okay, so first off, I set myself up for failure success, when I decided to go to a library book sale. Unfortunately (or is it luckily?), I only bought 2 books: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, and Little Men by Louisa May Alcott.
After that, I was accepted for two NetGalley titles: Within Reach by Jessica Stevens and A Thousand Salt Kisses Josie Demuth.
Then I went really crazy and decided to go to a thrift store. Paperbacks were $0.40, and hardcovers were $0.90. Needless to say, I went a little crazy!
I also won Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell from a giveaway hosted by Sarah from SimplyReading on Instagram!
I also received my first ever physical ARC from Quirk Books (thank you so much)!! It’s called Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge by Paul Krueger. Basically, it’s about a recent college grad, Bailey Chen, and her friend Zane, who introduces her into this secret world of monster fighting bartenders. It’s definitely not my typical read, but it sounds very original, so who knows? 🙂
That about wraps up my May! I hope you all had a fantastic month, and that June will be even better!! 🙂
Wow, you got some great books this month! Thrifting books is always amazing!

Oh yes! That’s why I tend to stay away from thrift stores, I always come home with too many! 😂

I know the feeling 😦 I’ve been having a really off reading month, so I’m hoping with summer I’ll get a little back on my game
