#ThanksgivingReadathon Wrap-Up!
Hello! I hope everyone had a good week last week, and for my fellow Americans, a happy Thanksgiving! Today I’m going to share with you all what I read during the Thanksgiving Readathon, which ran from Nov. 22nd – 26th. You can also check out my TBR post for the readathon here!
So, I didn’t get everything on my TBR read, but I had such a busy week, I still think I didn’t do too bad.
Okay, first I read The Christmas Blessing by Melody Carlson.
I ended up loving this book so much more than I thought I would! Books related to war are hit or miss for me, and this one was definitely a hit. It put me in the Christmas spirit, and just gave me so many emotions. I will have a full review for The Christmas Blessing up on Saturday, but I will say, this book was a good one!
Then, I read some more of Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine. I didn’t finish it yet, but I read not bad-sized chunk of it, and if my schoolwork doesn’t kill me (or I don’t get too distracted by Christmas books), I should have it done by the end of the week!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to Skipping Christmas, but that’s okay. The holiday season has just begun, and so there’s still plenty of time for me to read it before Christmas!
Also, just for fun, I thought I’d share what I did for Thanksgiving and last weekend!
So, on Wednesday, I spent most of my day finishing up schoolwork and getting stuff ready for Thanksgiving. Then, on Thursday, obviously, it was Thanksgiving, and I already shared with y’all what my family does for the holiday on my TBR post. On Friday, I went Black Friday shopping, but I only went to Target and Kohls, and didn’t start until 10 AM, so there weren’t too many crowds…just the way I like it! 😉 I also went to a Christmas tree festival. It’s something we go to every year! It was super crowded because we went on a Friday night this year, but it was still a lot of fun. On Saturday, my family and I went to a Christmas parade. Then on Sunday, I went to my cousin and his wife’s goodbye party, who will be moving to Louisiana for two years. Overall, it was a really fun week, but I’m super tired now, lol.
Here’s just a couple pictures from the weekend:
It was so nice to just make time to relax and read for this readathon, though! I had so much fun participating, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s readathon!
Thanks so much for reading! Let me know how your Thanksgiving went!
